What every clock does
- Programmable RGB backlight under each tube: 10 levels per colour, settable for every hour of the day (bright by day, dim at night).
- Crossfade and “slot machine” effects – the slot machine routine also cycles every digit to prevent cathode poisoning and extend tube life.
- One-button daylight saving time, 12/24 h, date display, alarm with snooze.
- Supercapacitor backup: keeps time through short power cuts; settings are stored in non-volatile memory.
- Night mode: dim or blank the display at night.
- Optional modules: WiFi time sync, GPS time sync and a motion sensor that switches the tubes off when the room is empty.
